hope mono mini

A) Stamped on one of the legs.

B) I can't remember but every time I have needed to know, a google search brings back a list (I think it's on MTBR) :D

If you have the type with the gold bore cap, I might be interested in swaps / trades :D

Thanks for that now need to get on with finishing the bike

Won't be swapping them though as I need them for my zaskar

Hi,

I didn't mean swap them for other goods, I meant swapping for other numbers ;-)

I have two 3's and a 5, I would swap one of my 3's :D

The list (not mine, I copied and pasted it) :

The numbers are for various different mounts and rotor sizes. If my memory serves me correctly they are the following:

1 - Hopes own standard, designed for the original line of Hope brake adaptors
2 - Rear calliper for frames without disc mounts. Used to use a shortened axle
3 - International Standard, 51mm spacing. Front 185mm rotor, rear 165mm
4 - Might of been 48mm Marzocchi Standard
5 - International Standard, 51mm spacing. Front 165mm rotor, rear 145mm
6 - Boxxer Mount 205mm Rotor
8 - International Standard, 51mm spacing. 205mm rotor front
9 - Manitou/Post Mount. Early models were 71mm I think, then Manitou changed it around 2000 to the current 74mm standard.

That's the list for the hope c2 calipers as the mono minis run 140/160/180 mm discs

Will speak to hope sometime this week and see what caliper I need

The numbers for the mono's are the same, just 5mm smaller.

A number 3 mono calliper runs a 180mm rotor on front, 160mm on rear.

To run a rear 180 you either need a number 3 calliper with a plus 20 adapter or a number 8 (assuming you are talking IS mounts).

#8 was also a 185 rear... I had one on a C2 then went 3+20mm mount for 185 on my E4's (hope also did a #8 rear later in the E4 caliper..)
