hi all so I have a new purchase it is i believe a 1992-1993 fire mountain but fell free to correct me if incorrect it was built in June this year but turned out to be too small for the customer and I came across it on flea bay it has some choice items on it like the forks for a start and the downhill bars and stem the forks I will keep as after riding the bike they are great I have some new parts added already like the NOS kalloy uno bars and stem and the panaracer smoke and dart re-issue tyres i have some xt brake levers to go on and will hunt for some xt v brakes the drive chain is stxrc and is all in great condition al apart from the questionable chain set which will have to go and exchanged for a shimano fc-751 xt chain set and bb

changed the bars and stem

so the bike came with deity downhill bars and a gusset dirt jump stem so this had to go and in there place i got hold of some NOS kalloy uno bars and stem

Love the Fire Mountain. Judging by the colour and if google images can be trusted it looks like a 1994 model.

So got some anodised parts for the kona going with orange as it’s on the logo and the lettering just a few parts but will change the look of the bike

Chainset arrived today very happy at the condition of it 20 years old and only one scuff chainrings look like new

So I was driven into a few weeks back and front wheel was totalled forks were ok luckily but decided on a complete new front end . So went with
Nos. Shimano stx threadset
Nos. Xero front wheel
Nos. Kalloy uno stem
And I replaced some of the elastomers with a. Spring kit in my manitou 4 forks
