Kona sizing

Hi all. I am looking to buy a Kona Explosif but am unsure what size would fit me. With the world of eBay being a buy now and regret later I I'd be greatfull for some advice. Can some one please tell me what size frame would suit a 6'2" with 34" leg.

I've got a 34 inside leg and ride a 19 inch Kona.

Thanks, I was thinking 19" but was unsure as they seem to look a very small frame. The search begins!

Yeh, probably 19 or even 20 depending on what it is for and personal preference.
But be careful, as I think the older non suspension corrected Kona frames are measured a bit differently to the newer ones. See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=267748 for some thoughts from those wiser than me and make sue you ask for unambiguous measurements before parting with your stash. Hope you find a goodun.

I have a 19" '96 Explosif frame in well used condition that I'm going to put up for sale this week. It could be a cheap way to test one out to see if it fits you. I am 5'11" 32" inside leg and 19" Kona's always feel too long to me, plus they don't look right without a lot of seatpost showing

I'm 6' 3" with 34" leg and regularly ride 19" 1992 Explosif and 21" 1992 Cinder Cone. Sometimes the Cinder Cne feels too tall and unweildy on rougher ground

I am 6ft and I have a 19" C-T 1991 Kona, and I find it too small, I believe the way that Konas are sized changed in the early 90's, can someone confirm this.

Thanks for your replies. It does seem a 19" is the favoured size, possibly a 20". I've ridden a large Proflex for years which equates to around 18.5/19"? but for some reason Kona's always look really small but perfectly formed!
Apart from the usual things are there any hidden horrors I should be looking out for?

I'd go for a 20". I'm 5'10" and find a 19" spot on.
