Morning
Think I might keep the Manitou Mars forks on my 2000 Stumpjumper...but need to set them up right.
I'm about 210lb ( all muscle..oh yes  ) and according to Manitou I should ride with
3 Yellow 120 Pound Coil
140PSI
Now I havn't taken them apart yet but I'm guessing the RHS has the coil and maybe some elastomer stacks (3 x yellow?)
The RHS has the schraeder valve for air pressure...just use a normal pump.
Sorry for the silly q's but I'm pretty much a suspension virgin.
Cheers
Carl
PS Any chance of finding the appropriate replacement stuff?

You will be needing a shock pump, most forks/shocks have schraeder valves but its getting the relatively high pressure into the small space that prooves a problem with a normal pump.
Sorry don't really know anything about mars forks.

Thanks mate....gotta a rochshox shock pump :D

I have a Mars Elite that I've been using since I first got it in 2000. Nice, relatively basic fork that should last a while if you change out the oil and seals once in a while.

Try this link for the Manitou Mars manual:

they have replacement seals, too, if you need them.
