Quinn Bros - Liverpool made great bikes!

Australian?

Ronnie and Jack frames are nice :). I keep a look out for the Harry variety as I fancy riding one again sometime :)

I have a soft spot for Harry Quinns as well. There was nice cyclocross frame and fork sold on ebay the other night for under £200, really nice, my size but hence a lack of cash held me back.
The RJ Quinns such as above always look like good quality machines as well.
Are/were they related?

I've heard that they were related but I've also heard that they were not! Haven't got to the bottom of it.
I once had a Harry Quinn and it was a a very nice bike....I mustnt start thinking about it or I may acquire yet another bike.....

Re:

I did know all this, but going off memory I might not be 100%! There were the 3 brothers who inherited the fathers business, I think Harry was eldest so the inheritance caused a few issues. So Harry went one way with the original business renamed it Harry Quinn and his brothers set up on their own as RJ Quinn.

Ernie Clements bought the business off Harry when Harry retired and made a complete mockery of it by importing cheap asian frames and branding them as Harry Quinns. This one looks like a case in point:

Harry came out of retirement and began building again near Tenby in Pembrokeshire. I think with his son Peter Quinn? What happened to Peter Quinn?

Sounds pretty accurate to me :)

A low point for Ernie Clements when he rebadged such crappy frames with the Harry Quinn name. I have a real soft spot for Falcon but not for that :(
