Bit of German Kult for sale here, Sachs attempt to make a Rohloff hub avant la lettre.
It has 12 gears, a twist shifter, overall ratio range of 340%, weighs 3,4kg.
It is the freewheel version for rim brakes (so not the pedal back coaster brake version)
It is laced in a 26" wheel with 36 spokes, with a decent double wall bushed rigida Rim, but strange spoke pattern,
one side even has twisted spokes
Hasn't been used much and is in decent state, but lying around for quite a while.
Would make a cool project if you have a frame with horizontal dropouts, clean look.
Or with vertical dropouts; just put on derailleurs and a triple up front and you end up with 36 gears :D
For concerns of period correctness: This is a 1995 hub we are talking about. You'd truly be an early adopter if you rode
around with this hub bitd, Rohloff wasn't for sale until 1998

For sale complete set with shifter and a binder with complete bikeshop technical documentation with exploded views and
install and service instructions. Price: £89 plus postage

Thought I had some pics on my computer, but I don't so have to add the pictures later on. Here some impressions for now:

I'm out if it helps at all - a real unicorn part just came up for me.

I have Sachs other experiment in this direction on my folder - a three speed hub with attached 7 speed freehub and it works quite well.

So here are the photos, sorry for the quality; late night photos in the man-cave. The picture with the bike is from my archive
from 10y ago; it shows the spoke pattern.
If I were to cut the hub out of the rim I could give it a good polish, If you want the complete wheel it is as in the photos; dirty.
oh btw the rim is Alesa not Rigida (well not yet, company wasn't bought by Rigida till 2001)

iscervo has first dib, bonkersbuilder second. Postage to UK will be 22-25 pounds because the package will probably exceed the 5kg everything together.

First I just wanted to sell this without spending too much time hassling, butI just couldn't resist to have a look inside.
With all the technical documentation it was very easy to open it up and have a peak.

On the inside it was exactly as I hoped, nice and clean, no debris and no metal from wear and no rust; so that's all perfect.
But yes, also as expected after 10 years; the original grease had turned a bit hard. So I took out some of the old grease
(I didn't strip the whole planetary gear system) dissolved the rest of the old grease with lighter oil and put in some fresh
grease at the gears. The bearing races were also covered in sticky hard old grease, but luckily after cleaning it revealed
nice smooth races without dimples. Oiled all the other pawls and parts.

Either I kind of spoiled all the resurrecting-fun for the next owner or I saved him a lot of hassle and time, it is up to you
to decide. Either way at least now I can say with certainty that it will leave here in good running order.

Well unfortunately I am a bit stuck here, as I am leaving for Taiwan tomorrow. So sorry to say, but this sale will have to wait for one month.

@Iscervo: You really waist everybody's time on purpose? Not replying PM's, while at the same time being active on the forum? Very impolite behavior if you ask me! Look, if you reconsidered, just let me know; a simple PM with "I am out" would suffice. Now I waited days for you to reply, but not only me, you also leave other people wait who are interested. Now I couldn't sell it, and there are people wanting to ride this hub and they also have to wait a month. Really, really annoying!

@Bonkersbuilder: Let me know, are you still in? even on a months wait? no reply yet on my latest PM.

I will revive this topic in a month time, till then enjoy the pictures people!
