Shimano Silent Clutch.....

Hey guys,
On a ride today my cassette started spinning randomly when pedaling as if it wasn't engaging properly but not all the time only problem is that it's a silent clutch model will the free hub part be different from conventional clicky types. If so where would i go about finding one?

Freehubs are generally inter-changeable.

I don't think the silent clutch type is though - it has a bigger hub body (as opposed to freehub) with some of the clutch gubbins inside it from what I remember. I may be wrong.

FH-R050 is the one that seems to crop up on RetroBike looking for spare parts.

I think most ended up getting a donor old hub of the bay or here, or just scrapping it.

well to be honest i have been considering upgrading to disc brakes so it might as well go ahead
