Specialized M2 S Works Road Bike

Hi...need some help identifying this, I think it may be an M2 S Works circa 1995, but not 100% sure. Apologies for rubbish pics. It has Shimano 600. Light use but has been in storage a while (20+ years). Intending to sell for a friend.

Hi , yes its definitely what you suggest , an S-works M2 Metal Matrix from 1995. (Metal mickey)
I had one for a brief period but found it was too stiff and it gave a very harsh ride on my local crazy paved highways!
Very light F&F though , mine was 20” iirc . Frame 1502 grams , Fork 561 grams


Went for a 10 speed set up on mine and a custom paint .
Sadly it all ended with a bang whlist trying to ease the rear end open for the 130mm spaced 10speed , it snapped the rear chain stay clean through on one side , never liked it after that

Quite a rare frame though and yours looks in VGC , Couldnt find much info out for these , only this for the MTB version.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it does look in good condition. Would be a nice restoration project for someone. I have no idea what something like this might be worth!

I can’t really help on a value sorry , I bought mine as the F&F for £25.00 form a bike jumble , paid around £100.00 for the powder coat and decals & sold it for £10.00 on ebay broken.
I think I may of been offered around 70-100 for the F&F when it was running at some point.
At a guess 3-4 hundred ?? but maximum profit would be to split it.
Worth checking the BB as mine had a Titanium Syncros bb, & sometimes the stems are TT aswell
