Stumpjumper M4

can anyone fill me in with a brief history of the M4 ?? I have been offered one for sale and all i know is that it's red and black with Avid brakes and an XT rear mech ..... oh and Judy front forks in black ....

Bit new for on hear, ask on the post 98 part, I had one and it was great, would still have it now if it had been bigger (17"), replaced it with a 19" M5.

Started in '99 as an S-Works frame only, 2000 had completes dunno when the Stumpjumpers went M4. I'm guessing that would have been when S-Works went M5. I've had my '99 for years handles no end of over forked abuse on the trails, great machine rocket fast...

Mine was an early Blue/Silver from 2002 I think.
