V brake noodle and pipe advice

just got one nos arch rival for my new build, however it does not come with pipe or noodle,

having a look on crc, they come in different angles
135, 110 and 90 degs, so can some one tell me whats all that about then and what one do i be needing to make me bike stop,

one one site it says you require a 90 for the front, on crc the 90 is for the bak, and why are they front and back specific,

oh and do i need a noodle and why

It all depends on your cable routing. For example on the front brake I usually go for a 90 or 115 degree noodle to get a nice smooth curve from the lever to the brake.
On the rear it depends where the cable stop is positioned. Noodles can be bent alittle bit to modify them if needs be.
You can also get flexible ones too, for a higher price.

I've used a small section of nokon cable before on my kona as it's a small frame and a normal noodle would have hit my ankle or got in the way ; you just need to grab the end off an old noodle so it sits in the V nicely . Not really a viable option unless you already have some bits spare as a nokon set is something like £40

I've had that cable for 5 years now :shock: shame it creaks and the chrome came off .

Ye can get flexible noodles as well..............just tae further confuse the issue.........

is the rubber boot a noodle, is it necessary,what does it do,

brakes will be avid front and rear though yet to source the front, will an arch rival on the front be over kill??

and which one should i go for ??

The little black thing is a rubber boot designed to prevent dirt from getting into the noodle (which is the metal pipe). They are by no means essential but they do keep things neat and tidy.
Either of those will work fine, obviously the ACOR one, being flexible means you are pretty much guaranteed to get smooth cable routing.

Most LBS's should have a selection of noodles for very little cost. Could you take it in and choose the one which fits best. Alterntively, I normaly keep a couple so I have a choice when building a bike.
