Retro Newbie
Hi everyone,

i have a question. I was given a GT avalanche
In ball burnished. Base on the serial number i was told that it is 1996 GT pantera. I would like to know from more experience people here to clarify and confirm my bike model base on the serial number. I attached photo of my bike and serial number.

thank you in advance! 66E7CF47-6525-4B08-A301-B45CA83F2BFC.jpeg 76204A83-8F93-4645-81A2-750D0B471B7C.jpeg 5D08922C-0F16-423F-9AF7-2468B25CC0DA.jpeg

On the assumption the decals are original, looks liek a 1996 Avalanche. The spec, from what it looks like is mostly original. LX parts with XT rear mech.

Of course with aluminium GT's its alway seasy to strip the pain wna wack on other decals...but usually people put on Zaskar ones, not Avalanche.

the seat and baby seat and pedals no :). The rims are newer, original would be mavic 221, 717 are recent...but rims wear out and 717 were tha top of the line rim before mavic stopped making them a few years ago. But the general spec looks original.
