1993 Brodie Rodie

Interesting frame. The Rodie became titanium later (I have a 2014is version). I'm a bit sad about the fender / rack mount removal, but to each their own, eh. So what is the build going to be?

The eyelets weren’t original. They’d been added later and painted in black. Will be mostly Dura Ace, with a couple of Canadian bits for good measure :)

Yes, I understand they weren't original and understand a desire to return a bike to original spec. I just love the practicality of brazeons. 9 speed DA or 8 speed?

I first registered interest in this frameset back in 2017. The owner was very busy with life in general and as such things went back and forth at a slow pace. The deal was finally agreed during Covid and so we had to wait until lockdown in Toronto had ended. The seller didn't have the time to organise shipping but luckily @jimi911 lived nearby and came to my rescue. During negotiations some suspect cracking was noticed in the paintwork. At this point the structural integrity of the frame was more important than the paint. Fortunately it got a clean bill of health, and we got to see Paul's skills up close.

Almost a shame to paint over those welds.
That’s some major craftsmanship
