got this for free in rough condition.....had been rattlecanned so many times you could scrape the paint off with a putty knife .... wasnt sure what it was at first but once I got down to the original paint it revealed itself..... did this with stuff I had laying around.....its a fun bike
scored this for free.... not sure on the exact year....has a 24" rim on the front and needs a chain .... then a good overhaul..... I will be harvesting some parts from my schwinn sierra that is way too big for me
97 specialized rockhopper 18" frame, manitou pro x cartridge fork, new stem, BB, headset, brakes( avid front , tektro rear) and freshly painted charcoal grey ( rattlecan. but prepped well and applied well.... sell it like this or strip it down more?
Re:
the original brake levers were shot but had a pair off of an 88 miyata city runner that were good... the rear wheel is not original as it has a 7 speed freewheel instead of a 5....works great after some adjustment, so I'll leave it...the handlebars are some I bought off amazon that were not...

found this in my LBS today.... had to get it for my 86 schwinn sierra....you can tell its been there for awhile.....from what I can see online only a few companies still make these style bag and cyclepro in not one of them
parts from a failed project..... came from a 72 varsity
