Hi, cheers. Sorry but it was that long ago I don’t have a clue what I ended up fitting. I’d think a regular bmx bottom bracket would fit the shell and then axle length would depend on what cranks you’re using. The axle can be spaced out so not too critical - if in doubt go longer. Probably not...

All finished, I was just waiting on bar tape and rear drop out screws - both now installed. Managed to sell the forks off the donor bike on eBay for £15 too so the parts bike was effectively free! Result. Just waiting on my friend to recover from a whiplash injury and then we’ll get out together...

That looks well, good effort - especially for a parts bin type build, I like the saddle too. Interesting that yours has an ahead stem whereas mine is threaded. How does the rear brake work with that cable routing btw? I was debating putting v’s on mine but don’t like how those clamps that go...

The middleburns are really nice, just not sure if I’d use them myself on anything I have, the headset is 1 1/8”.

Cheers Jon, I just couldn’t wait to make a start on it. It’s a lovely bike, I’m really pleased with it. Just glad the bb cup was plastic, I could have cut it out if needs be but luckily it did unscrew with a bit of care and patience. 👍

Thanks for clarifying what it is! Nice looking bike btw - love the colour. Mine has definitely been painted and the forks are definitely wrong. Cool that the dura ace headset is original to the bike, I wasn’t sure.

Better pic, agree - first digit is not clear, not stamped as deep as the others and right where the cable ran.
