Cinelli Zydeco CX/Path/Gravel/Commuter

A recent impulse buy led me to taking receipt of this frameset and some components last week.

Plans are to build up and replace my Specialized Crux Elite which has been a fantastic bike to explore local bridleways, byways etc., if a little too small.

Wheels are H+Son Archetypes mated to Ultegra centre-lock hubs; my first foray into disc brakes, which will be Avid BB7's. Gearing will be Shimano 105 10 speed with FSA Gossamer crankset,.

God a load of bits on order so should make some steady progress in the next week or so!

I had one of these a while back, an earlier one with canti studs. Absolutely stunning frames and finished really nicely. Took a punt on it because the price was right but I couldn’t quite tell what size it was. Unfortunately it was way too big and I had to move it on.

I forget why I was rambling on about it now… oh yes, you just reminded me I ought to look for another one!

Good hear some anecdotal feedback! Nothing in the post today but hopefully some bits arrive tomorrow so I can continue building up.

I love the bright colours you get from Cinelli frames, and great value as well. This is a Cinelli Superstar I got built up this year, from frame up. Anyway, will follow your build with interest, looks fab already 😎👌

Gears are all set up, brakes mounted (had a shock when the rear caliper didn't fit and had to research IS to post mount adaptors!)

Awaiting on a rear disc to arrive so I can cable up and try and set up the rear brake. May take to LBS to set up the brakes as I think it's beyond my limits. Other than that it's looking good!
