Good tyres are expensive. Who else does skids on them anyway?😃

Who else enjoys locking up the back wheel now and then?

I mean onroad.
Sometimes I can't help myself... especially when scrubbing off speed on a bit of uneven ground.
Just a bit.🤭

Gone are the days when I do an extra long skid. Too expensive!🤪

This should be in the pre '97 section, but.... early 90's my brother and I used to have a skidding contest every afternoon on the way home from school, down a steep hill, main road, ending at a busy roundabout - they were different times. 😇

A snowy Sunday morning ride ended at the pub (where else), someone thought it a good idea to see who could do the longest front wheel skid in the car park. It's times like these when you know there's a future for Elastoplast.

Perhaps the times were before you had to buy your own tyres 🤣 a lot of modern 27.5s are 60 quid each!!
One good steep hill and it's over😪
