Retro Newbie
Hi,

This is my first post.
I picked up this bike for free recently. It was over painted with a hideous black paint job and basically in rough shape and unrideable.
I decided to have some fun with this project and gave it a fade paint scheme inspired by some of those Marin Rasta paint jobs.
Does anyone recognize what this frame may be based on cable routing and other clues?
I can tell it's high quality based on the components it came with ( XT, Ritchey, Suntour Microdrive, Tange Struts fork ) and also the low weight and ride quality of the frame.
Serial number is H1N01537.
I added a yellow Salsa sticker to add some yellow to the scheme.

Thanks for your help,

Simon

I can give you the year as 1992 model year.. mainly the roller, secondly the serial, thirdly Suntour.
It could be 1991 though but doubt it.
'factory produced' as opposed to a custom handbuilder.

Any other features?
Full Side toptube routing wasn't very common at that time..
Forks, anything on them Tange? (dropouts, steerer tube)

The only things I've seen from Hodaka, in steel, are Brodies. Could this be? Need a Brodie expert to chime in,

Kona did (this isn't a Kona).

H1 means 1991, N is usually the category or type code (not that we know what that is). That's as much as I can help.
