Something special here: The American answer to Magura bitd,
Brand new set of hydraulic brakes with steel cables
only the original mounting bolts are missing (just needs normal bolts and rings, nothing special required )
They work well!! had a set of these on my travel bike for a long time, you can easily bolt some magura or other pads to fit the system, I think the original ones are hard to get now :roll: (new set is included though)
They have a very clever booster/QR combination

these IBC brakes are great. i have them on my Proflex854. i added them in 1995. i have never seviced them. just changed pads. when i found out they went out of business i bought all the pads i could find in town. around 1997 i'd guess. i have my last set on right now. glad to read magura pads can be modified to work. was starting to wonder if i'd have to change out all the brakes and shifters when these pads were done. IBC was a small outfit in Seattle Washington USA. didn't think anyone else ever bought these.

Interesting to read this retro thread. I’ve always had some information about these brakes in my memory banks from bitd but I didn’t think about them until recently when the opportunity arose to buy 2 sets! Here they are in their retro glory. They seem to be working just fine and I’m very pleased to have them
