Throbbing rear light?

I am just about to buy another rear light and sometimes I see the back end of a bike that has a light that throbs/pulses, it gets bright and then dims down and goes bright and so on. It is really noticable. I wondered if anyone had any idea what light it is?
I am guessing it isn't called throbbing or pulsing.

TBH there appears to be quite a few on tinternet, I've just looked at the top 6 best lights which are totally different from the next top six best lights, so it's a bit of a minefield!

I find a throbbing rear is often difficult to ignore.

Avoiding highly spiced food and eating lots of fibre is a good remedy.

There’s a moon one that does similar too.

I have to get another rear light for my Marin. The cheapy light got about 2 hours use out of new batteries! I put
new batteries in everything in November I have used the Marin once since and went out on it yesterday and batteries were flat!
