Indeed, but you just know that within that workforce there will be people that can still produce interesting and beautiful things. I also know that I view things through an old brain,an old brain that has loved design and engineering, for as long as it can still remember :)

BITD racing, a lot of my CX amigos were locked in to having Campag kit on their bikes. I was already a Shimano fan so never tried any of the group sets, but there must have been something (at the time) that they thought made it a better choice. Not sure how big an Artisan/Bespoke market there...

Went out yesterday, no photos as it was effin freezin. 🙃 Three of the group had an ice ambush on the way to the meet up spot :( Riders and bikes mostly ok, but we cut the route short so we could avoid the hills and trundle along at sea level.

All being said,would I ride one now? Probably not :( Back then there were less distractions for drivers, so they probably were looking ahead, rather than at a phone or control screen.:rolleyes: Used to see a few recumbents on some of the big Audax runs, but none (up here) in the last few...

Borrowed a Windcheetah a few years back. Like bikeworkshop,I thought it was cool as*. I also found that a lot of the time (London)drivers actually backed off a bit and gave me plenty space. I imagine they were possibly startled and thought,WTF is that. 👍 🤣 *and it was super fast

I hang off the back because I think it makes me look rad, but mostly it's because I refuse to buy a dropper post ;) 🤣

They look a bit like Midge bars There was a fad/fashion for Midge bars a while ago. I fell in to the trap and got a set (still in the shed). In lots of tiny ways they were almost ok, but in the end, trying to get controls set up in a good position (for me) was hopeless.

Another serious question for owners, what are they like at high speed through corners on downhills? Do you have to learn to drift them or use some type of body counterbalance thing? I have loved motorbikes forever, but every time I see one that has been 'Triked' , I just think, nope.
