Ibis SilkTi frame / Pace RC38 forks

Cheers @Walterscot - OK so 22.5." Effective horizontal a bit longer but could be in the ball park for me. The write up / review gives a few extra dimensions. It will be a fast frame. Do you know what year this is?

Ibis SilkTi frame / Pace RC38 forks

Thanks for the heads-up. It's a beauty and one on the lifetime list. Too big for me though ... all though no harm in asking @Walterscot what the top-tube c-2-c is - at a guess 23 1/2 or even 23 3/4"?

    Frame failure experiences

So finally, that is the benefit of internal cables? Cables keep it "almost" together after numpties have put holes in tubes? My father told me not all progress is good :D

    Euro Star Shrewsbury area

I kind of clicked on this thinking the BBC haven't reported a railway extension.

Bike of The Month November 2025 "Amnesty Special" - now full!

👍 One of the best months. For sure the entries count above all, but there is also something in the beauty of this month. Always enjoy well presented entries and also like to throw off a vote to an underdog in hope. It's nice to see them all together and realise they are all great bikes.

Ni number required for an online retail purchase?

An affidavit concerning a urine sample before a public Notary will be next.

Ni number required for an online retail purchase?

Yes, as far as platforms go, in short - any customer - so read anyone signed up. As for financial institutions most notably like banks, Ebay payment services, or PP be it in the UK or Luxembourg, etc. etc. etc. etc. it's now almost absurd. At any moment for any transaction for any amount self...

Ni number required for an online retail purchase?

Not that I want to be the devils advocate. I've posted about this before. https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/ebay-found-a-new-way-to-screw-with-buyers.496957/page-5#post-3803146 The roll-out plan is EUR zone first, the SEPA connected countries with foreign currencies second. I am surprised...

Danger - contains gravel-related content. A question of handlebars.

+1 Set-up for riding / climbing on the hoods. A wide drop-bar with short reach and short drop is ideal. Descend in the drops having a plenty fist full of brake lever. The Jura is exceptionally lovely. You can expect going up and going down for long periods so a variety of positions will be...

    Trike

@grantoury - it's definitely a British thing. Numbers don't lie. Thank heavens the French nor Italians attempted trikes.

    Trike

Yeah - in Scandinavia the only trikes I've seen, including old vintage ones, were for cargo duties, made of gas pipes, nothing elaborate, single speed for messing about at summer houses on the coast. Can't ever think of seeing one in France nor Spain. Perhaps Colnago should take on the Brits...

    Trike

Approx. very similar. The one local in the club that did ride and do TTs had a George Longstaff trike - local builder on the Cheshire / Staffordshire border. Jason Rourke is now producing them: https://longstaffcycles.com/ Personally see there is a lot to admire about them. Never ridden one...

    Site Suggestions (and Issues) Thread

Free Jägerbomb with a Peroni chaser at the Inn is about all we can rustle up for you and Jamie. What with sinking velo prices for old Suntour and Campag tat these days and all that, time to tighten the belt as year end approaches.

    Wheelbuilders' thoughts...

👍 Designed like a plastic BMX magwheel except you couldn't put it in the freezer to straighten it out. Remember this gem too?
