Well as I drunk that coffee I skipped through the thread and refreshed my memory on all that paint pain and palaver!

And then I thought about that 1/8 chain and my thin paint chainstays....eek!

Ok ...let's take a bone from the hind legs of a bouncy broken Kona



And make a shiny shield to protect against chain lashings

That'll do nicely...

Shifter on.... coupling fitted and cabled....

All gears found

Now to pull it to pieces dismantle shifter and fit hi and low stops.....wooop de wooooo!

So Sunday I mostly had an art attack....

Had a few ideas...non seemed quite right ...
Nearly went with a de la soul 3 feet high and rising theme.....

The U lifted a bit....grrr....and a bit of bleed under some masking.... a little fettle I think I can improve it a bit....
Next stop drill and tap two little holes in the headtube !
