Thoroughly degrease, smear with JB weld, try and work into the crack on both sides and wipe clean.

Yeah, $60 + $10 shipping, kind of steep but I think worth it.

Are you talking about that black Risse replacement shaft for Fox Alps or some other Risse shock?

I've got a couple of risse shocks with shaft wear, one is for an amp B4, the other I was looking to convert for an RTS. I can easily get diameter measurements.
