Fuel economy - What do you get?

Nice shagwaar! 8) Love the shape of those.

If we're doing piccies, here's my little 5 door hatch derv-mobile. Haven#t done recent performance tests but despite 50mpg I am aiming to get 0-60 in high 5 seconds (still FWD so grip sucks off the line) and 1/4 mile in 13 seconds. Kind of a sleeper, but I've styled it quite aggressively.

Sounds more like you're overcompensating...

My issue as well. Bought mine with 100hp - remapped right away to 150.... lasted about 18 months. Engine conversion and better turbo 220bhp/340 lb/ft. lasted about 2 years, bigger turbo 260bhp/370 lb/ft and now on hopefully my last big turbo  and once all tuned up aiming for >300bhp and 450 lb/ft.... I just can't seem to get enough power, but I don't like to give up the economy/cheap tax (£110pa) either. That's the accountant in me talking there..... :D

My jag came out of the box with 386 bhp and I have had her chipped and fiddled with and a different supercharger pulley fitted and now at about 415bhp (my wife says this is too much ).I am not spending anymore money on her now, or on the car

Aha - well not many jags are >400 bhp so I expect yours is a sleeper too. Not many expect a 300 bhp Skoda fabia 5 door hatch so mine surprises a few as well. Its one reason I kept and modded this car rather than chopping in against something quick out the box.

Nice fabia, Id run black wheels to match the mirror caps & roof tho...

(and maybe hide the FMIC with a nice bit of mesh, lol!)

The intercooler is meshed to prevent stones doing damage. :) The photo kind of hides it a bit. This shows it a bit better

I got the wheels for weight not looks, but yeah, black pro race 1.2 wheels would be nice. 8)

Now that does look good...

Id remove the fog lights and grilles and do an R32 type look too... Getting carried away here!

I had a fabia hatch company car once, grip was great and chuckable like a go cart...

it's okay, but like you, I guess??, I've got used to the power/acceleration & it feels slow at times

I did fancy trying to find a VXR-8 to px it against, but SWMBO fancies a new shape XKR. an XFR, or an Aston-Martin V8 next year :D

Sadly no cash for that kind of upgrade for me.

Having reached pretty much, the limit of 1.9 TDI tuning, I will need to look elsewhere for my speed kicks. Long term I fancy getting the Skoda back to "stock" and having something daft like a supercharged Atom for track use, when they come down in price a bit....
