It's finally happened ......

Well at 1p.m. i lost my cycling virginity. I was collected by a Chelsea tractor. Damage? 1 badly bruised foot and my 3 week old s-works roubaix is no more. But a big thank you to Dan who has just spent 4 hours sat at the hospital with me waiting to get x-rayed. You sir are a scholar and a gent.

I got taken out for the first time a month ago, didn't go quite so well, white van driver turned left through a bike lane without looking and took me out. Left me with a beauty of a scar on the old forehead and a bit battered and bruised, nothing broken though luckily.

Ouch, i got off lightly, just a foot like a blueberry at the moment. but the bike is totalled. Had it 3 weeks so a bit peeved ...

She rear ended me so her fault. Will claim on her insurance. Just have to see how co-operative she is once they find out what the bikes worth.

i used a company called cycleclaims a few years ago, very good and cost me nothing. if at any point they get funny with you, don't piss about, get on the phone to someone like that, i got the bike fixed (£600) and £1200 for back ache and whiplash etc. remember you don't have a lawyer, car insurance companies do and can take advantage of that when dealing with a cyclist as we don't have insurance to sort it for us.

i don't advocate doing people over for the sake of it but in my case the guy was a complete ass so i went as far as i could with it.
