    Hope Evo cranks. Fakery?

Do the parts have the logo or brand of the one they copied? Non OE parts for cars don’t have a manufacturer stamp trying to pass themselves off as real. I’ve no issue with a replacement mech hanger , or anything similar. Let’s take the Syncros items from a well known seller. If they...

    Hope Evo cranks. Fakery?

To me it isn’t. Both are fake. Sellers like to use the word reproduction but they aren’t. Once you add that Syncros / Ringle logo to the item or description it’s exactly the same situation as Aliexpress. If they were produced by the same company (like smoke/darts) then re-pro is the term...

    Hope Evo cranks. Fakery?

I’ve touched on this earlier but I do find it amusing the outrage fake goods causes (I hate fake stuff too) but we openly allow it to be sold on this site.

    Hope Evo cranks. Fakery?

He knows they are fake. He’s not used “Hope” as the brand anywhere and that’s the first thing anyone would do when listing these. He’s been a little clever really if you think about it. To be fair though … the price and lack of detail would of made me question it

Seat post removal services in the 'South'

Admittedly I didn’t get a A* in science but it still seems more logical to break the bond using cold. No damage to paint and no issues with heat damage. But if it works for you. I’d use heat on an alloy frame if I had a steel post stuck or maybe alloy and alloy.

Heat will cause the alloy post to expand faster than the steel frame.

Obviously don’t use heat as suggested. That’ll go against your aim. You need cold on a steel frame with alloy post. The only professional way is using a puller that pulls straight and up. I keep toying with the idea of having one made. I’ve heard of people using a slide hammer.
