Shimano XTR M900 Cassette Spacer Thickness

Actually an M910 hub - so perhaps more in keeping with M950 (I've got one of those in the draw come to think of it so will check), 1-1.5mm seems likely but I've seen odd sizes like 1.85mm out there.

    Raleigh Dynatech Racing Titanium

Looks to be a very tidy frame. 42cm ctc equals c.17" but being made to look a lot bigger due to the long travel fork.

Shimano XTR M900 Cassette Spacer Thickness

First thing I checked - but doesn’t show spacers where needed, behind the cassette. Here’s some pics of the situation; I tried a Type P and a Type Q cassette, both have a slight gap. Should have measured it at the time but forgot, so thought I’d check the diagrams then ask on here.

Shimano XTR M900 Cassette Spacer Thickness

I seem to have misplaced the spacer that sits behind the cassette on an XTR M900 freehub, and as a result my cassette isn't filling the freehub body enough to be retained by the lockring. Can anyone tell me what thickness the spacer needs to be please? so I can order appropriately. I've got a...

    Giant MCM Team

Final work for the day was a fork swap - which necessitated a steerer length reduction, so I aired on the cautious side to gain a little height. 190mm steerer in the end, and a couple of spacers. Forks seem to function well, both legs holding pressure and no apparent fluid leaks, so hopefully...

    Giant MCM Team

Needed to do a ‘fit check’ today to gauge front end height and stem length as I’ve got a shorter stem I’d like to fit, but only if it’s comfortable. This meant getting onto the bike, so needed to fit a BB; A chainset; Some pedals; And a saddle; Conclusion: 130mm stem currently fitted...

It’s the first one I’ve had so can’t comment. Doubtful but you never know. @1552 any knowledge of a shim in your experience? The shim I’ve fitted is less than wafer thin!

Every frame has its quirks, and more often than not it’s what seatpost size will actually fit. This frame should take a 27.2mm dia post - at least that’s what I’m told by people that have owned several of them. Mine however arrived with an un-size-marked carbon ‘Giant’ post, which according to...
