    Re: sorted the issue.used a 122.5 73 shell bb with a 5mm lockring which i managed to screw onto the right hand shell of the shimano bb i then retro fitted new thumbshifters which replaced the old stx sti shifters so now no issues with the front mech not working as the thumbshifte is friction so...

    Re: well wiped the old bottom bracket out today from the p7 which currently has a shimano cheapo compact chainset from about 5 years ago and its running the original circa 95 black lx front mech with a 122.5 un 52 bb and that set up works fine but looks wrong ..so thought id just put the rs2...

    Re: yea i used a hope on it and faffed around ,got it to fit but couldnt for the life of me to get the original black 95 circa lx mech to play ball at all which does work with the compact cheapo one down from stx circa 2008 crankset i put on ok am only saving what 2-300 grammes but you loose...

    yea compact mech ,will possibly try source a non compact mech or will end up flogging on the cranks

    thanks ,buddy,think i tried the cranks with a 122 HOPE or it was a 127 and the issue i ended up with was i couldnt get a front mech to work with all the rings so looks like the p7 is compact only..doh

    hiya, ive been trying to fit a set of retro middleburn rs2 cranks to my 1995 orange p7 and does any one know what size of bottom bracket should be fitted so that these will not rub and the front mech will work ive heard a 68 x122 is the way to go but before i start ebaying thougt best to double...

    ive been riding a 1995 kula which i built using just the frame,and i cant complain ,its superb in everyway,,,bear in mind that konas do tend to be small made,mines a 19" and iam only 5 foot 6 so i really should be riding a 17 " but i find the !9" kula great and thats with a good bit of seat...

    the new range or old school replica burners are poorly made,in fact chinese,there ok to pose on but to race about,ermm no...a;so they have all has paint issues and the decals peeling off as well as having dodgy freewheels,,dont get me wrong iam a big burner fan but the new ones reflect more...
