Interesting idea with the dropper cable routing. I think I would have gone external though and using the top tube guides left redundant from having a 1x setup.

Thinking about it, you could still do that. Run the cable as if it was going to a front mech and then add a rollamajig on to your cable adjuster to create a 90 degree turn into the seat tube

Welcome to the forum. Lovely looking frame.

Could you add in more parts?

Thank you for the comments! I don't think this was a Pip frame as there wasn't a Pipmeister sticker, but I'd be happy to find out it was. I like the idea of using the top tube for a dropper cable @Lacuna though with the white cable housing I'm hoping it will blend in to the decals enough to not be too noticeable.

Today's update is on the forks which I've touched up the paint and added a few coats of lacquer - I waited a week before polishing smooth and getting photos.

Included is a 'before' photo from the person I bought them from - not my hand in the photo.

For any weight weenies who need to know - the bits of touch up paint and three coats of lacquer added 6 grams. I think it's worth the added weight!

And I did lacquer over the original decals as I figure it only adds a bit of protection to what I want to keep as original!

This evening's plan was to put those lovely forks on the frame, but it seems I miscalculated the height of the components and with the headset fitted, and a rather short stack height on the stem, it was around 15mm too short on the steerer of 180mm.

Luckily I had a similar fork, a little less tidy in the decals and slightly heavier by 230g. They fit perfectly and are fairly close to what I was planning - but I don't know when they were last serviced, so will have to see how they ride.

I also popped on the handlebars - they look massive in their original 800mm length, and will get cut down! It meant I could mount the dropper lever and with it being a CX fit lever the clamp is too big for the bars, but fits perfectly close to them stem and I think it looks pretty there - I'll let you know how safe it ends up being!
